DR. PAT WELLICK, APPLE VALLEY EYECARE
Growing up in the rural community of Britt, Iowa is where the seeds of caring for others were planted in Dr. Patrick Wellik. Small towns are closely knit and lending a hand is a natural way of life. The interest in a career in health and medical care began while he was in middle school. After getting his Bachelor of Science degree in General Science at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Dr. Wellik went on to Columbus, Ohio where he received his Doctor of Optometry at the Ohio State College of Optometry.
Dr. Wellik began his career in 1989 working for a clinic at three of its Twin City locations. In 1993, he helped open Chanhassen Vision Clinic. Two years later, he joined the practice with Dr. Blomquist at Apple Valley Eye Care. Today, he now owns Apple Valley Eyecare and is passionate about patient care. “I want every patient to know that we care about them as a patient AND as a person. I want them to know that if they come to Apple Valley Eye Care that we want to take care of them for life, not just for one eye exam...we want it to be a long term relationship between our clinic and our patients! “
Dr. Wellick's Perfect Vision for 2020 - on the “doctor side “ is to improve Apple Valley Eye Care’s ocular surface disease clinic with new procedures and protocols and make advancements in myopia control at our clinic. My main goals on the “owner side “ of my practice are is remodeling our office to accommodate practice growth and increase bottom-line practice at profitability by having department managers improve their respective areas.
Dr. Wellick belongs to ADO because no doctor can perform the business side of their practice without good partners and advisors and vendors.
