About the Speakers:

Jenny Smith, ABOC
Jenny Smith has an extensive background and passion for training and education which began as an inner-city high school biology teacher. She spent nearly a decade with Essilor as a National Speaker and Leader of Strategic Account Teams. Jenny is ABOC and a COPE approved speaker with experience speaking at Vision Expo East and West. She is also a certified Ritz Carleton Customer Service Trainer.

Phernell Walker, ABOM
Anyone who meets Phernell Walker knows that optics is his passion. He has become a nationally-recognized speaker because of his unique talent for teaching his students everything they need to know to become a professional optician. He authored the textbook, Pure Optics, to help his students prepare for the ABO and state board exams. Mr. Walker is one of only a few hundred people to earn a Master in Ophthalmic Optics. His educational achievements include an MBA, BS in Business, and an AS in Ophthalmic Optics. He is certified by the both the American Board of Opticianry and National Contact Lens Examiners. Phernell serves on the American Board of Opticianry Board of Directors.
